| Description | The forests of Avelorn are the some of the most ancient places in all of Ulthuan, with some of the oldest groves originating before the time of Aenarion. These woods are often as frightening as they are enchanting, for even the most experienced rangers of Avelorn do not know all the secrets of the deep woods. Avelorn is also the realm of the Everqueen, the co-ruler of Ulthuan, and from her seat at Gaen Vale she commands and communes with the deepest spirits of the forest to ensure Ulthuan continued endurance. |
| Noteworthy Text | The search for the Everqueen consumes both the High Elves and the Dark Elves as they battle for control of the ancient forests of Avelorn. .The Dark Elves know that to capture Alarielle would be to strike a blow against their enemies from which they could never recover, and scour the woods in earnest for any sign of her. The High Elves know well the consequences for all of Ulthuan if the Everqueen is taken, and so race in equal parts to find her and to obstruct any search by their dark cousins. The disappearance of the Everqueen has also left the forests open to increasing numbers of Chaos worshipers who are free to corrupt the land without Alarielle's warding presence. |
